Introduction
On this site, I posted a picture (almost) every day, from December 3, 2010 to December 3, 2011. Only 16 days during that period are without pictures. All but two pictures were taken on the day of the post. Sometimes the daily picture represented the day in a larger way; sometimes it was just a picture. Since I posted so often, some pictures are more interesting than others.
After one year of posting a daily picture, I posted pictures less frequently - whenever I had something worth sharing.
After two years of more casual posting, I decided to once again post a daily (or almost daily) picture in 2014.
I'm not a photographer, and most of these pictures were taken with an inexpensive digital camera. A few were taken with a cellphone camera. Click on any picture for a larger view.

Edgewood Saxophone Trio
For the first time in 2014, I did not take a picture today. I had a lot on my mind, as we had the CD release party for the Edgewood Saxophone Trio tonight. To represent the day, I'm posting this cellphone picture by my friend Rob.

Cat Nest
I apologize for posting a cat picture, but I couldn't resist this. Jockomo loves suitcases and valises; I guess he knows that they're special, since they don't come out very often. My wife had packed a some clothes into a bag for a short business trip; Jockomo dug them out of the bag to make a cat nest.

Muggsy and Pee Wee
A wonderful early David Stone Martin cover, from a three-record 78 RPM album on the Disc label, recorded by the great jazz cornetists Muggsy Spanier in 1946. The other figure on the cover is clarinetist Pee Wee Russell.

Little Free Library
I don't know how widespread the "Little Free Library" movement is in the rest of the U.S., but they have sprung up all over Atlanta. The idea is that you make a little hutch in your front yard and put books in it, and people come by, take books, and leave books. This one, in the Oak Grove community near Atlanta, is a particularly nice one, with benches, chairs, and a table.

Reynoldstown Street Scene
Wylie Street, in the Reynoldstown neighborhood of Atlanta.
I'm breaking my "one picture a day" rule because I decided that I like this picture more than the one I originally posted for March 2.
