Introduction
On this site, I posted a picture (almost) every day, from December 3, 2010 to December 3, 2011. Only 16 days during that period are without pictures. All but two pictures were taken on the day of the post. Sometimes the daily picture represented the day in a larger way; sometimes it was just a picture. Since I posted so often, some pictures are more interesting than others.
After one year of posting a daily picture, I posted pictures less frequently - whenever I had something worth sharing.
After two years of more casual posting, I decided to once again post a daily (or almost daily) picture in 2014.
I'm not a photographer, and most of these pictures were taken with an inexpensive digital camera. A few were taken with a cellphone camera. Click on any picture for a larger view.

Sidewalk Art
I'm continually amazed at humans' efforts to bring more beauty into the world. A homeowner on Nelms Avenue in Atlanta took advantage of the wet concrete of a sidewalk repair to create some art.

Easter Brunch Dessert Table
I played piano for an Easter Brunch at a country club today. This was the impressive dessert table, included a watermelon Easter bunny.

Old Sidewalk
Another day of cellphone-only pictures; I wanted to learn more about the capabilities and limitations of my cellphone camera. I thought this early 20-century sidewalk on Clifton Road in Atlanta showed character.

Cat with Ribbon
As an experiment today, I only used my cheap cellphone to take pictures. Although my usual digital camera is not expensive, it does give me a lot more control than the cellphone camera. Here's the best of the lot today - Sassy with her favorite ribbon.

Elias Nour
Elias Nour (1914-1993) began exploring Stone Mountain, near Atlanta, when he was ten years old. By the time he was thirteen, he knew the mountain so well that he was able to rescue a hiker who had slipped partway down the steep side of the mountain. Over the years, he rescued over thirty hikers and received a Carnegie Medal for heroism. At some point, he carved his name into the mountain.
I forgot my camera when I climbed Stone Mountain today; this picture was taken on my cheap cellphone.

Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel
The band whose name describes exactly what it is. Scott Burland and Frank Schultz - just a couple of guys with a theremin, a steel guitar, and a couple of laptops. The Drunken Unicorn, Atlanta.

Springtime Scene
Atlanta is so beautiful in the spring that it's hard to resist taking pictures of the trees in bloom. This early 20th century house is on Mell Avenue.

Another 78 label
Most people probably aren't interested in seeing another 78 RPM record label, but I thought this one, from a 1920 record I just picked up, was really nice.
